Playstation five restocks are all SOLD-OUT. India pre-orders for the Sony PS5 went on pre-orders in India earlier today after three months at 12pm today on 17th May, and were gone within a few minutes. The listing on Flipkart and Amazon India shows that the console is not available for purchase at the moment.
The standard disc variant priced at Rs 49,990 was available for pre-booking. By 12:05 pm, all of Amazon, Flipkart, Games The Shop, Prepaid Gamer Card, Reliance Digital, Sony Center, and Vijay Sales — they all opened online PS5 restock pre-orders — were all either sold out or struggled to load or had crashed. Sony has seriously underestimated the PS5 fans for in India again. Customers also experienced the same when trying to book the Digital Edition, which was only available on Sony Center. The Digital Edition is priced at Rs 39,990.
Customers who managed to pre-book the PlayStation 5 can expect delivery on or before May 24. The delivery date could get pushed further depending on the lockdown situation. Several states in India have announced lockdown-like restrictions. It only permits the delivery of essential items via e-commerce websites.
PS5 re-stock situation:
Also, there’s no word on when the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will be re-stocked in shops in India. This was only the first restock for the PS5 since the next-gen console’s early February launch in India, and the first opportunity for those in South Asia to officially get their hands on its digital-only counterpart.
Sony India has also set up a helpline at 1800-103-7799 to help PlayStation fans find local retailers across India. But with the Covid-19 situation in india, it’s quite hard to say whether Sony will restore the PS5 stocks for the third pre-order, if there is any.
We will let you know as soon as there is any update on the Sony PS5 restock in India.
