Oppo launched its 2nd generation Powerbank on 18th of August. We purchased it right away and had been testing it since then.
It has 10,000 Lithium Polymer battery and it supports 18W fast charging.
Other than the 18W fast charging on both directions, it also offers a low charging mode and a 12 factor safety assurance, which protects the device against overheating, output short circuiting, input under voltage issues, input over voltage issues, reverse charging issues, output over voltage issues, thermal shutdown issue, static electricity issue, cell over charging and discharge, electromagnetic field interference, and power surges.
The Oppo Powerbank 2 is slim, lightweight, has a curved design with a matte finish and is available in 2 colors – Black and White. It also has ridged texture which provides better grip.
With the low charging mode, one can charge their TWS earphones as well as one’s smartwatches too. The low power mode can be activated by pressing the Powerbank’s power button twice.
The Oppo Power Bank 2 has two USB Type-A ports and one USB Type-C port for connectivity. The device also comes with a two-in-one charging cable using which one can charge their Micro-USB device as well as USB Type-C device.
The Oppo Powerbank 2 also has an LED indicator which indicates the charge on the Powerbank. The device is also compatible with PD, QC and other mainstream charging protocols.
We used an 18W Charger to charge the Powerbank. It took us around 3 hours and 15 minutes to charge the Powerbank fully.
We used the Powerbank, which supports 18W fast charging to charge our Smartphone which has a 4000mAh battery. It took us 2 hours to fully charge our Smartphone, which is around the same time it takes us to charge our Smartphone generally with a fast Charger.
Talking about the weight, this Oppo Powerbank 2 weighs 273 grams. On the other hand the Mi Powerbank 2i weighs 245 grams.
Now, regarding the looks, the 10000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i has a metallic double anodised aluminium design and is available in 3 colors namely- Black,Red and Blue.
The Oppo Powerbank 2 provides a warranty period of 1 year whereas the Mi Powerbank 2i has a warranty period of 6 months.
Other than the safety assurances, the Mi Powerbank 2i and Oppo Powerbank 2 both the overall quite good. You can get any of the two, depending on your choice.
