Lenovo Legion series Laptops will come with 11th Gen H-Series CPUs

Lenovo Legion series gaming laptops are getting refreshed with Intel’s 11th generation Core H-series processors. The refreshed Lenovo Legion gaming laptops are the first laptops to be powered by Nvidia GeForce RTX laptop GPUs including the latest Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and GeForce RTX 3050.

Lenovo refreshed its PCs with AMD’s Ryzen 5000 mobile CPUs in January. Now the company is adding Intel’s gaming-focused H-series chips to its select models. These also come with Windows 10, Thunderbolt 4 support, and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. These laptops have big 16-inch QHD displays with 16:10 aspect ratio, having 165Hz refresh rate and G-Sync support.

Lenovo Legion 7i Specifications:

The flagship Legion 7i is releasing this June in the US, starting at $1,769 (1.30 lakh INR approx.). It will be supporting up to a 165W total graphics power (TGP) variant of Nvidia’s RTX 3080 (16GB) with a boost clock of 1,710MHz.

It will have a 16-inch QHD display with 2560 X 1,600-pixel resolution and a wider 16:10 aspect ratio having a 165Hz refresh rate. Display has 500 nits peak brightness, up to VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. It can also be configured with Intel’s flagship Core i9-11980HK processor. Lenovo Legion 7i comes with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3,200MHz and up to 2TB PCIe SSD storage.

For audio it has two 2W super linear speaker system and smart amp with Nahimic Audio. For connectivity, it has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, three USB Type-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an Ethernet jack. Lenovo Legion 7i is also features Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1. Lenovo promises that the battery can last up to eight hours and it comes with a 300W power adapter. The gaming laptop weighs 2.5kg and has Dolby Vision support, and Nvidia G-Sync support.

Lenovo Legion 5i and Lenovo Legion 5i pro Specifications:

The Legion 5i Pro comes with 16-inch WQXGA (2,560×1,600 pixels) IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, up to VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, Low Blue Light – TUV certification, and 16:10 aspect ratio. Legion 5i Pro can be configured with the Core i7-11800H processor or i7-11400H processor. It has Nvidia’s RTX 3070 GPU with a maximum TGP of 140W and a boost clock of 1,620MHz.

It is coming this June but starting at $1,329 (97,700 INR approx.). The Lenovo Legion 5i Pro come with up to 32GB. For storage, it gets up to 1TB PCIe SSD Gen 4 storage.

Lenovo Legion 5i comes in 2 different display sizes – 15.6-inch and a 17-inch model.

The 15.6-inch Legion 5i can be equipped with up to a WQHD (2,560×1440 pixels) IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 100 percent sRGB coverage, 300 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision support, and Nvidia G-Sync support. The 17-inch model has up to a full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) IPS display with 144Hz refresh rate, and 72 percent NTSC coverage. For storage, 15.6-inch has up to 2TB of M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD and the 17-inch Legion 5i comes with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3,200MHz.

It is coming this July but starting at $969.99 ( 71,300 INR approx.)the 17-inch Legion 5i comes with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 3,200MHz. The 5i 17-inch version is a little heavy at 6.6 pounds. The other products weigh in at 5.3 to 5.5 pounds.

All three Legion models also feature two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6, and a 720p web camera and they all have a claimed battery life of up to eight hours but the 17-inch Legion 5i gets a card reader as well. For audio these have two 2W speakers.

Lenovo Legion Y25g-30 Gaming Monitor Specifications:

Other than these laptops, Lenovo is also coming up with a new gaming monitor with a 360Hz refresh rate and Nvidia’s G-Sync support. The Legion Y25g-30 is coming this October for $699 (51,400 INR approx.).

The Legion Y25g-30 will feature a 24.5-inch 1080p display with full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) display that has 16:9 aspect ratio, a 360Hz refresh rate, 400 nits peak brightness ad comes with a 1-millisecond response time. It covered over 99 percent sRGB and has 1,000:1 typical contrast ratio. It supports Nvidia G-Sync and Nvidia Reflex as well. For connectivity, it has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-B port, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, two HDMI 2.0 ports, and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. There is a 3.5mm audio jack as well.
