Boult Audio Airbass FX1 Full Review.

Boult’s Audio Airbass FX1 hit the market this May 2021 and since then has been in the news. The newly launched Boult Audio AirBass FX1 is priced under Rs 2,000.

The Boult Audio Airbass FX1 consists of in-line touch control. With one touch, the user can play/pause the music, switch music tracks, control the volume, and answer or hang-up calls.

The Airbass FX1 are designed such that they fit in the ear quite comfortably. They have soft silicone ear tips that are removable so that the user can put the one which fits them the best. These come with 3 different tips: small, medium and large ear tips.

The Airbass FX1 also has a voice assistant function that allows you to access Google Assistant or Siri.

Boult Audio Airbass FX1 True Wireless Earbuds are currently available in three different colours – Black, Blue and White.

Inside the box:

The package contains a pair of FX1 Earphones, a Charging case, 2 pairs of extra ear tips, a C-type Charging Cable, an Instruction Manual and a Warranty Card.

Built Quality:

Talking about the case, the Charging Case is quite strong and comes in quite a sleek, matte finish with a curve design. The case has the Boult Audio logo on the top. The case is magnetic which helps it to hold the earbuds in place. There is a USB Type-C charging port and 1 LED indicator on the front side of the case. This indicates the remaining battery of the case.

 

Boult Audio Airbass FX1 Review

Now about the Airbass FX1, the Boult Airbass FX1 comes with a stem designed where’s an in-line touch control is present and is made of polycarbonate material. The flat back also has Boult Audio written on each of the buds. With the Airbass FX1’s angled ear tips, it is quite comfortable to the ear.

These Airbass FX1 are IPX5 rated, which means they are sweat-resistant and are also resistant to light splashes.

Pairing Speed:

The Airbass FX1 uses Bluetooth 5.0 technology. The company has used Hall Switches that allow it to pair instantly with the device on opening the case’s lid.

The Airbass FX1 automatically connects with the device as soon as you open the case! Yes, by opening the case, the device will connect with your Smartphone; no need to manually pair up every time.

Controls :

With a touch, the user can play/pause the music, switch music tracks, control the volume, and answer or hang up calls. With this, one can also access Google Assistant or Siri.

Sound Quality :

With its good sound quality, Boult Airbass FX1 also comes with Bluetooth 5.0 technology which gives an amazing musical experience along with a nice calling experience.

The vocals are quite crisp and clear and the bass is also okay.

Latency:

Boult Airbass FX1 comes with ultra low-Latency audio delivery (<120ms) for gaming without any noticeable audio lag.

Monopod Feature :

The most amazing feature of this product is its Monopod Feature. With this very feature, one can pair a single bud for both musical and calling experience.

Noise Cancelling:

The Airbass FX1’s passive noise cancellation is quite effective, which helps with external noise. While listening to songs on high volume with these on, one might not notice any background noises as well.

Call Quality and Connectivity:

The Airbass FX1 is quite good for making calls. We used these to talk over the phone and our experience was really nice. However, it does not cancels out the loud background noises completely but it minimizes it to the level where the caller and receiver both could hear each other’s voice quite clearly. All over we found the quality of these over call quite satisfying.

Battery life:

Boult Airbass FX1 comes with a 300mAh battery on the case and a 40 mAh battery on the earbuds and provides 3 additional charges with the charging case. The earphones get fully charged in under 1hour and the case takes around 1.5hrs to get fully charged.

It provides a battery life of up to 6-7 hours once fully charged and a total of 18-20 hours with the charging case.

Worth the price:

Well, in this price range there is quite a list of truly wireless earbuds available in the market right now. But only a few are worth the price. The Boult Airbass FX1 is among these few. For the price of 1500 INR, the product quality you will be getting is really good.
